Grub Street is looking for a videographer for their 11th annual literary conference, “The Muse and the Marketplace” on May 5th & 6th at the Park Plaza Hotel in downtown Boston! This is a two day, all-day conference designed to give aspiring writers a better understanding about the craft of writing fiction and non-fiction, inside information about the world of publishing, and thoughtful networking opportunities. Two keynote speakers, Julia Alvarez and Richard Nash, will be present. The interested videographer will be filming each presenter, a few other presentations, and a few interviews!
For all the videographers out there – here’s a unique chance to shine! Grub Street, the second largest independent center for creative writing in the United States, is looking for a film intern for this summer! This will be a project based internship and not require the student to come into Grub except for special occasions. This entails literary events, author readings, poetry readings, and book parties!

Alexander Freeman is looking for a producer who is available this summer in the Boston area interested in producing a film he recently finished writing. The film is called “The Capacity to Love” and it’s a feature romantic drama about two girls who fall in love because of mistaken identities caused by internet dating and the question of whether love takes priority over the body that someone is born into and if religion should have any power over who we love.
The film hopes to shoot in July and August in western Massachusetts with Emerson professor and professional actor Ken Cheeseman as an actor.

Northern Light Productions is producing a documentary called “Big Top Without Borders.” They are looking to collaborate with Emersonians to help market the project. They need an Emerson intern who would be up for the task. This student would receive credit for their work with NLP.
